Usando un vertiginoso despliegue de herramientas teatrales y un estilo de narración directa, NiE cuenta la historia de María Michaliovna: en un momento una anciana sentada en su apartamento, en el siguiente, una niña bailando en el parque.
La vida de María transcurre en el siglo soviético en un cuento de amor extraordinario. Pérdida, desastre y esperanza. Mientras echa un vistazo a su vida, el pasado y el presente se unen y se difuminan, mientras ella se disipa
por la propia fuerza de la historia.
