Bergen Summer Research School on Global Poverty 7-17 August 2008
We would like to announce the first edition of the Bergen Summer Research School on Global Development Challenges, to be held in Bergen, Norway, 7-17 August, 2008.
The theme for 2008 is Global Poverty understood as a global challenge, affecting advanced, developing and less developed economies. The program offers nine different PhD courses and academic as well as social and cultural activities. The city of Bergen is known for its distinctive beauty and charming ambience, which will be the inspirational backdrop to lectures, group work, plenary debates and discussions on Global Poverty.
PhD-students and Junior Researchers from the whole world are invited to apply.
The Bergen Summer Research School is a joint venture under the leadership of the University of Bergen, with the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH), the Christian Michelsen Institute on Human Rights and Development (CMI), the Bergen University College (HIB) and UNIFOB.
